I'm consistently running into the issue of having AC's touch the camera to start and stop it. Has anyone come up with a way to assign a button or switch on the DX8 to do this? My thoughts were to add a small button and sepparate channel transmitter to the DX8 and have a small parkflyer receiver on the camera body thats hooked up to the remote port. I'm not 100% sure on what sort of input the camera needs. But I believe its a matter of creating a circuit and holding that connection. Or possibly briefly connecting the circuit to start and the same to stop.

    Has anyone experimented with this?

Chris depends on what is needed to trigger the camera but a popular one that is pretty versatile is the StrattoSnapper 2 from www.littlesmartthings.com. It does IR and hard wired triggering. Easy to connect to a camera and RC RX.

I agree. Stratosnapper 2. Esben makes stuff that just works.

Wow thanks guys, that looks great. Is there a way to add this to the MoVI MCU/Receiver?

It would need to run off of an open channel on a regular receiver. If all you have is the MōVI Spektrum Satellite receiver then you would need a regular Spektrum receiver to plug the StrattoSnapper into.

    Hey Gary,
Is there any reason to go this route instead of the strattosnapper 2?

It should work, just not as versatile as the Stratto.

This would require a second transmitter correct? Is it possible to bind a single TX to 2 RX? Could I maybe gut another TX and cram it into my existing DX8, or are there single button TX's available?

After thinking that over, It makes sense to bind a single TX to two RX's... I would just have to make sure the RX is 8 channels, correct?
