Anyone got a recommendation for 16000MAH batteries for flying Alta 6 & 8? Are the Gensace Tattu 15C a safe bet?
I think Steve Maller was flying those at one point in time.... Steve? Advice? On p 16 of the alta 6 manual it says minimum discharge rating for dual batteries is 200A/400A peak, or 300A/600A for single pack flying. I am flying 10000mAh 6s tattus, all 25c which output about 250A each, 500A total. Your 16000mAh 15c should be good since that gives you around 240A each, although the 16000mAh in dual add a lot of weight on the Alta 6, I am on lousy internet so I cant download the Alta 8 manual, but I expect that it is probably 250-275A/500-550A peak, which you almost cover with the 16000 15c's
Thanks Mike, I guess Freefly will recommend 25/50C on both Alta 6 & Alta 8 so as to ensure there is plenty of headroom on the minimum & Maximum draw of power. I'm having a little difficulty getting my head around this to be honest, certainly wouldn't want to take any risk with insufficient batteries, I will take a look at the Manual. Cheers
Nope. I did have a pair of those but quickly decided that the 10000mAh form factor was better for me. Still flying five pairs of 10000 Tattu batteries, and I'm super happy. No reason to believe that their 16000 would be anything different. But I'd question whether the extra weight is a justifiable tradeoff for anything but a super heavy payload.
