Has anyone had any experience with this rig? Is it a gimmick? I went on their website and saw a bunch of amateur looking video that I was not personally impressed by but wasn't sure if this is worth getting to save your back and arms? Wondering if the hip movement will translate into the video footage with the movi? Any insight on this?
Hi Adam, We use this rig. It's definitely not a gimmick. It does help on longer shoots. Michael Knowles, the owner of the company is great on communications with customers, he does demos if you're in the same city, and I'm sure he can answer questions on his rig. In one of his latest updates he mentioned he was developing a strap to specifically reduce vertical movement, we're definitely looking forward to that. His FB page has lots of pictures and video samples on how people are using his rig in combination with a Motorized Gimbal Stabilizer. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Atlas-Camera-Support/194632137234485?pnref=story
