Really like the seamless use of the UAV into a drama! Really nice :)

Up until recently I've always used an intervalomenter, but I just got the RC switch and added a Spektrum receiver to my MōVI so I can trigger it remotely rather than just have it taking photos all the time. The issue with the intervalometer is that it make it difficult on the vTX to deal with the signal popping on and off so often. I'm shooting something with it this week for the first time. I'll let you know how it goes. ;)

EDIT: this is the product I'm using http://www.rcshutter.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=20_64&product_id=75

Tristan, I use this same trigger and it works great. I am going to be trying it soon with the Movi Controller as well. I don't know if it will work on that yet or not, but if you plug it directly into a receiver port it is great.

Yea, I have the Gent-LED version for my 5d and it is ir which i had forgotten and haven't gotten around to installing it. On my Nikon D4 I used a Gent-LED but it connected to the camera through the 10 pin and worked great. I am going to pick up an ar400 to swap out with my satellite on my m5 and get it set up.

I was shooting a corporate gig at a winery in Sonoma today, and I decided to bring the big X8 to do some aerials of the property. Not only were the photos a huge hit, but the copter itself became quite an attraction among my clients (mostly venture capitalists and entrepreneurs). Really fun day!

Shot with the 5DM3 on my MōVI M5 with the 17-40 lens at 24mm. Used the RCShutter to trigger the shutter in the air. Did this single op by flying to my desired location, locking the copter in altitude and position hold, arranging the MōVI, then triggering the shutter. Worked great, even with the 15-20mph winds today.
