The Sony person I talked to at NAB said not to expect the BOSS system to find its way into any of their 4K cameras, at least anytime soon.
I did see some footage that "was shot on" that camera at the NAB. The image was incredible. Now to address the "was shot on". There was a title on the video stating this. This does not mean that the footage was recorded on that camera. The compression rate is pretty high. About 4 times higher than the Sony F55. (XAVC-s is 50 Mbps vs XAVC is 240 Mbps). Granted, this is still better than a 5D which records MPEG-4 at 685 Mb/min (~11.42 Mbps)
me testing the sony 4k babycam on the M5 now, will post footage soon. trying redeye wide adapter on it. the ax100 has amazing manual controls much like our old broadcast cams ) the exposure and auto-focus-pulling coupled with great audio and exposure assist and zebra, plus a LARGE sensor for nice dof, all make this VERY interesting on the Movi
