    Hello,

we tried to connect to the MöVI M5 with an android tablet (Acer A1-810, Android 4.2.2, App Version 1.521). The app says it is connecting, then some GUI parameters change ("Info pending...", "Rate 1 / sec") but after that nothing else happens.

The MöVI M5 shows up in the app correctly and is paired. However the pairing process was different than described in the manual, we never had to enter any code "1234", the android tablet just displayed a number and said we should make sure that the other device is also showing this number, we pressed ok and then the MöVI was displayed as paired device.

What could cause this behavior of the app and how can we fix it?

Just for your info, we where able to connect from both, a PC laptop and a MacBook, only android was impossible.

    Thanks and greets from Berlin!

Tonfilm welcome to the forums. Would you be kind enough to change your user name to your real first name and last name, please? The reasons for this (and how to do it) are explained here: http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/.

It may be that the Android operating system as implemented on the Acer is not compatible. Lots of folks have tried many tablets. The ones that seem to work are Nexus tablets. The Android implementation is very inconsistent among brands. Not nearly the same stringent standards.

ok, so please write big fat banner on your front page with compatible android tablets/phones. The Acer tablet was only bought for the purpose of controlling the MöVI.

do you know whether cyanogenmod or other open source andoid systems are working? we could just wipe the tablet and use an open source system. Or is the incompatibility on the hardware side?
