Hi all, Portability is crucial to me, so I was just wondering about the size of the case the Alta 8 comes in, opposed to the 6. Both Alta 6 and 8s come in Pelican cases correct? Can anyone please advise their respective sizes and Pelican model number if available? I presume the 8 has a slightly bigger case? Cheers, Ryan
I'm not totally 100% sure but I think my Alta 6 (which I bought in March) came in a different case as is in the photo above. By eyeballing my case is quite a bit bigger.
After a bit more research: I think the Alta 6 used to ship in a Pelican Storm 2875 case, but is now being offered in the Pelican 1640 (which is a bit bigger and heavier).
