The manual (V3.5) clearly says (chapter 1, step 1): Select IMU mounting orientation. orientate the IMU such that the arrow marked on the printed surface of the IMU faces the sky and points directly forward, backward, left or right. In the corresponding setup dialog ("Mounting", there is a option menu 1. IMU Orientation. It does allow you to select one of the four options Forward, Backward, Left or Right. This has nothing to do with the mounting location (x, y, z).
