Hi guys, I’m currently running 2 – 6S’ 5400 Hyperion Lipos. I’ve been using the recommended “80% rule” dropping the battery to about 3.7 volts per cell. I’m curious as to how low are you guys running your lipos? Thanks!
Maxis never lower than 20% if I can help it. So about 14.4 volts so 3.6 volts is my trigger point in flight for landing.
Hi Gary Thanks for the reply. I guess I can set my first warning at 3.7 and my second and last warning at 3.6. Of course, I’ll be on my way to land by the time 3.6 hits. Am I understanding that correctly? Thank you once again!
Cells are cells, regardless of how many there are per battery (at least as far as our 3S-6S LiPo batteries are concerned). So Gary's use of 14.4 is just 3.6*4, and in your case it'd be 3.6*6 (21.6V).
