Hi there! I intend to buy a 3 axis gimbal, not very expensive. I found on ebay 2 models, as follows: http://www.ebay.com/itm/300935912522?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:ITHYPERLINK "http://www.ebay.com/itm/300935912522?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649"&HYPERLINK "http://www.ebay.com/itm/300935912522?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649"_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/251323675532?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:ITHYPERLINK "http://www.ebay.com/itm/251323675532?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648"&HYPERLINK "http://www.ebay.com/itm/251323675532?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648"_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2648 As one can see, there is a mechanical difference between these models regarding the mechanical drive of the 3 rd axis. Could anyone tell which is better of these two? I will us it with a Canon 550D camera. Thank you in advance.
G'Day Jim, Can you please use your first last name, it's part of the forum etiquette here The biggest thing with any brushless gimbal is how easy it is to balance, and how easy it is to tune. Both of those models look like balancing them would be a tedious process. Have a read of Bill's brushless gimbal thread for lots of good information, and if you want simple and easy to use then start saving for a movi. I wouldn't get either of those gimbals, by that's just my 2cents, and I may have different requirements to you .... Cheers Chris
I’ll echo what Chris said. There are some Chinese manufacturers who are making carbon fiber parts of a decent level of quality, but I wouldn’t necessarily rely on them for a fully-integrated gimbal. At least not for my first one. Freefly’s MōVI M5 is coming in another month or so, and is (probably) going to be most of what the M10 is at 1/3 of the cost. I’d wait if I was you. And I only say “probably” because none of us mere mortals have laid eyes on the real thing yet.
