A bit of a late reply but Capture One does indeed support the 1DC. File format and for tethered capture.
If you were to connect the IQ via a router where you can configure the band to be either 2.4 or 5GHz, then that would be the way to go....

Well, maybe thats a question for the radio experts? We run the WiFi on 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz but I can't remember if this is auto or can be manually...

I wasn't on the shoot sadly. But I think we only got as far as test shots with the IQ (controllable via WiFi) before the crash and the rain!
It's our new 50MP CMOS Camera the IQ250.
