External Zoom Control

I'm looking for a way to add an external control for zoom to my controller. Basically, I need the zoom rocker on my controller for Roll and want to find a similarly smooth control to use for zoom while op'ing from my controller. Thinking something like a foot pedal, to keep hands for the controller

 

Possibly a custom cable that can come in through the data port on the Movi Controller?
