Hey there, I'm not sure if there's a thread way down in the archives, but I'm looking for recommendations on a QR base plate that would allow moving a RED DSMC2 camera from our Movi Pro to a tripod/slider etc... I know Wooden Camera had one, but after speaking with them, its discontinued with no new plates in the works. Thanks in advance.
Ignite Digi makes a system: https://www.ignitedigi.com.au/collections/red-dsmc2-series-monstro-helium-gemini-dragon I think Kessler also makes a QR for Movi, and 1A Tools has the opposite adapter, so you can keep the Movi base plate and slide on to a Tripod, but if you're doing it a lot, you might prefer the Ignite system.
I’ve been using the Kessler system for years and it’s rock solid, by far the most versatile setup I’ve come across so far. They sell a kit that adapts the MōVI Pro QR to their (Arca-Swiss) mount, link below.
