Can anyone recommended one that works? I had the mic input working with the genuine Apple lightning to 3.5mm audio adapter. Recently I tried couple of the power/audio to lightning dongles from Amazon, but they all have output only audio operation. I would like to power up the iPhone from the MCR and input mic audio at the same time. Could you please recommend a specific dongle model and manufacturer. Too much manure there.
I finally found one that works - Belkin 3.5 mm Audio + Charge RockStar Headphone Jack Adapter for iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (Renewed). The cable is quite stiff. I had to tape the shape with the gaffer tape, to keep the cable shaped. I am planning to use more flexible short lightning extender between the phone and the splitter.
