Has anyone had issues with their movi either not charging at all.... or extremely slow charging?

I have tried several different USB bricks and a computer, but the charging is non-existent. Just flashes the single white light for hours.

Wondering if anyone else could tell me a typical charging time?

I don't recall seeing that problem being reported before Scott.

Just as an experiment, with the Movi disconnected from the charger, open up the handle and remove and re-install the battery cells just to eliminate the possibility that there's a sketchy contact there.

Can you also try a different "known good" USB charging cable? I infer that you're using the same cable even though you've swapped USB bricks.

If that doesn't fix it, then I'd open up a ticket by sending an email to Freefly Support (support@freeflysystems.com).

I did not try a different cable, so I will give that a go... I did try removing/reseating the batteries. This is how I eventually got it to charge, but it was about 4 hours to get to full... which doesn't seem right.

I will try another cable (have to buy one) and report back.

    Thx

Yeah, four hours does seem long, but if they were fully discharged, well, maybe.....
Please do post again when you've tried another cable, though.

Charging via my USB ports on my Mac was a no go---computers probably limit the amount of current to devices. I generally use the more powerful USB chargers (like for my iPad Pro etc.)

Charging also works well using a power bank. (Although haven't had the need to use it.)

Best of all is a USB-C charger. I have the Apple 29W USB-C and it's super fast at charging my iPad Pro 12.9 and the Movi.

Does anyone have a problem with the Movi where the white blinking lights starts at the 1st space and moves up to the 4th space in 2 minutes but you know the battery isn't charged. Then it stays at the 4th space and the last space keeps blinking.

I've certainly noticed that it spends more time with the last LED on the right blinking, but it does go out after a while.

How long have you left it charging with the right-most (4th) LED blinking? Overnight? If it is still blinking after an overnight charge, then
it sounds like you need to open up a ticket with Freefly Support and the best way of doing that is to head over to https://freeflysystems.com/contact

    Hi Andy,

Yea, the first couple lights light up within 30 seconds. I'm charging it right now with a new set of batteries just to see how long it takes. I originally thought it was the batteries but it seems that I've never been fully charging my batteries. As of now it's been flashing for around 45 minutes but I will update you exactly how long it took.

    Vincent.

It blacked out after around 2hours 30mins to 3hours.

I used the Nintendo Switch AC Adaptor.

I guess it’s fully charged up now?

    Hi Vincent:
Yeah -- I'm pretty sure that's OK. Well, that's what my MCR does. I've also noticed that if I leave it plugged in that on occasions, the LEDs come back on and the fourth one is flashing. I suspect that there's a slow internal self-discharge and the MCR is smart enough to detect that and revert back to charging mode.

    Cheers
    Andy
