Hi, after years with the M10 i want to buy the MoVI pro. i still want to use the spektrum DX7s to control the system wich is (as far as i can see) no problem. But is it possible to use the bush pilot to control focus at the same time with the spektrum? or do i need to use a stand alone wireless focus system? with my M10 i am not able to use any kind of FIZ Equipment when using my Sony FS5 camera (with primes and metabones). i think this should be no problem with the MoVI Pro? even with heavier motors like the ones from the tilta nucleus m (i know it is a brushless system and therefore not compatible with MoVI)? Rolf
You should be able to use Bush Pilot with the Spektrum. I use it with the Alpha Wheels SBus receiver, and Spektrum and Alpha Wheels both input to COM 2 on the Movi Pro. I'm not sure I understand the last part of your question about the Tilta Nucleus. I use a Heden motor with Bush pilot. With the Movi Pro, you have lots of room and capacity for other follow focus units, like Preston or Bartech, but powering their MDR's on the Movi Pro usually requires me to add a small LiPo battery to the rig. I use the LiPo's from the M15 with a D-Tap adapter and just bongo-tie the battery on.
thank you! for me the whole system is a bit unclear is it not possible to power the motors from the MoVI? i think i need to have the MoVI Pro here to understand how it works. i think about buying the new (very affordable) nucleus m system and use it as a stand alone system but if there is a good solution to have bushpilot and spektrum together, then i maybe would prefer this.
Ah ok I understand. For compatible motors, like Heden, the motor gets power through the Movi. You just plug the cable from one of the three FIZ Ports into the 7-pin motor input. The Movi acts as receiver and power to drive the motor.
