    Hello everyone

Sorry posted in the MPro area as well.

Anyone know if there is a way to keep the MPro powered (roll/tilt), but kill the pan so the Alta stops from spinning.

    Thx!

    Hi Jason,

Man this forum seems to be nearly dead these days. I do not believe that you can kill just one axis on the mount, but I see why you would want to do this and I have thought about it before, but I do not use landing gear on my Octos so I do not have a need to kill the motors.

If you're referring to when the Alta is sitting on the ground and the MoVI is still engaged, then simply dis-engage or switch to the "kill" on your movi controller or whatever you're using to control the MoVI. Then once you're airborne, have your gimbal operator engage the MoVI to dual op.

The airborne mode will stop the Alta from spinning. If you want to do single op then you can either change to handheld after takeoff or use the Mimic to kill the MoVI and then set the Mimic to off right after takeoff.

@Jason Toth On a previous setup I had a switch on the movi (using 14sg) set to expo on the pan which let me keep the movi on but kill the pan. I don't remember the setup off the top of my head but I will check through my google docs and find my notes on that old setup. I completely forgot that I had done that until I read your post and remembered that it was a really nice option to have.
