I'm looking for a solution to move my camera off the MoviPro to a tripod without having to remove the bottom plate. I saw that 1A tools had a solution ($270), anyone have experience with it or something else?

Is it just to go to lock off shots? Or are you going to put the eyepiece back on and everything?

For lock-offs, I usually take the toad on a stick and put it on a short c-stand. Unclip the Movi from the Ring, roll flip to the Toad, and use the Mimic or the Alpha Wheels to do the lock off/tripod work. It takes way less time than taking the Movi apart, and the short c-stand is way faster to raise up and down.

But I have the 1A Tools adapter and use it for some things. It's a useful piece of gear to have if you're going to spend a long time off the Movi. Kessler may have something similar now, too.

+1 for the Kessler plate. Pair that with a handful of Kwik Recievers and you’re golden.
