Does anybody have any leads on a good mount for the cinetape to the top crossbar of the movi Pro? I've removed all the adjustable screws and stuff and I have it Velcroed and bongo tied to a pop n lock but it's not really stiff enough.
I should have said it's the cinetape horns that I'm talking about. The brain part I've got a good spot for.
I can't post photos to the Forum at the moment, unfortunately, but I had come up with a way to create Dual-Lock velcro mounts on the top cage crossbar before there were pop-n-locks. They cost about $1 at the hardware store. Imagine a large flat washer on the top, and another one below the top cage rails, and a small #8 bolt and nut to clamp them together. The bolt runs between the two rails on the top of the cage. I put Dual-Lock Velcro on the top washer, and you can velcro anything to it. For Cinetape, you might consider a small L-bracket on top with Dual Lock. If they get the Forum fixed for uploading files, I can send some pics.
That's given me an idea along the lines of the bolt and washer. I had done something similar before on the M10 for a cintape off the bottom bars. If I figure out a good way, I'll try and upload any photos I have.
Good call, Deniz. Photo Uploads are (mostly) working again as of this morning. Here are the little mounts I made out of washers and bolts and Dual-Lock Velcro:
