Hello! I am looking into getting the Remote Air 2 from Ikan. Would that system have any interference with the radios on the Alta? Regards, Kurt Norway
Kurt: The Remote Air 2 (according to the web page) operates in the same frequency band (2.4 Ghz) as the ALTA/Futaba command and control system, but these days the 2.4 Ghz systems use "frequency hopping" to avoid contention on the same channel from other transmitters. The short answer, therefore is: it should work. But I would proceed with caution, start by doing ground checks outdoors, and with, say, 75 meters between you and the ALTA and make sure you still have control of the ALTA (can you still arm/disarm the motors?), the gimbal, and of course, control via the Remote Air.
