Hey When i Tunr OFF my Graupner MX-12 with GR-16 (FailSafe) Turns the Radion ON. FailSafe settings I've actually done. Connected via PPM. Someone else knows the problem or can help me? Thanks Philipp
Hi Philipp: Can you disable the failsafe? You don't need it for the Gimbal Control -- in fact, I'm not sure you ever need it if you're using the MK boards to control the copter -- the MK Failsafe is the thing to use. Andy.
Hi Andy I have now switched OFF the File Safe on each channel. The same problem When I use the Radian without receiver, attached directly to Power is the same problem.
That's very strange, Philipp. Especially the bit about "use the Radian without receiver." Just to clarify, are you saying that when you use the Radian's without a receiver, when you turn off the MX-12, the Radian's turn on? I'll need to ask you some more questions, but I just want to make sure that I've correctly understood the situation. Thanks Andy
Hi Andy I have now tested 3 modules individually ... Each Radian is activated as soon as I put +5 V. Only Servo(Port4) and +5 V(Port1). Each Radian is activated with FailSafe. Only Servo and Receiver(Port1). Thanks Philipp
I think I might be misunderstanding what you mean by "fail safe." You are still talking about the Graupner transmitter fail safe, right? If so, if you turn off the Graupner transmitter, the Radians will still stay powered on as long as they have +5v. They do not power off when you power off the transmitter. Sorry if I am being dense -- it's been a long week! Andy.
Thank You Andy, sorry for my English If I turn off the transmitter MX-12, the modules switch on STABILIZED SLEW. See in the picture. When I test the modules individually without transmitter, only with +5 V, the modules switch on STABILIZED SLEW The Orange LED on the Radian goes OFF LINK
Hi Philipp No need to apologize for your English. It is MUCH better than my German (I am inferring that you speak German from your last name). I think everything is OK. When there is no transmitter, the Mode channel goes to ground, but there may be electrical noise that causes the Radians to go to Stabilized Fixed -- which is what you see in your image. Stabilized Slew would be when the Mode indicator is above the green area -- but in the image you show, it is above the Orange area. If you are not experiencing any other problems, I would go ahead and install the Radians and make sure they work correctly with the receiver connected up. Hope this helps. Andy.
Hello Philipp, Powering off the Radian/servos (camera mount system) prior to powering off the MX12 will keep the system from entering failsafe thereby preventing the switch in Radian Mode. Greetings, Adam
