Hi all, Could someone please tell me the best place to get a power cable/connector and remote start cable/connector for the Alexa Mini at short notice in the UK? Thanks in advance Jason
We made our own power cable from the alexa mini Dtap cable by swapping in a deans connector. I don't think there is any way to get start stop on the alexa without the Arri wireless remote. I hope I'm wrong but so far I haven't found a solution.
Thanks Ben, Panavision made me a power cable which worked fine and I ended up just manually rolling the camera before takeoff. Apparently Gentles Ltd are testing a remote run cable for the Mini but it's not available yet.

Hi, I have recently purchased an Alta8 + m15 and we would like to fly with Alexa Mini. There is a 8 pin LEMO for Alexa, but i dont really know the pinouts, the mapping of the cable. Is there any help how to solder it correctly? Thank you.
T Those are all power cables I'm afraid. RT motion have a alexa start stop cable that works with there follow focus units. I don't think you can just solder your own cable as Arri have some sort of decoder that's required to control the remote functions of the camera. It's a pain but so are a lot of things with Arri. Like having to pay £7k for a firmware upgrade!

Ok I use the MoVI controller with the Wedge, so I gues I have to bye an extra Futaba RX and mount it on the camera with an external battery along with the linked cable of course. Right...?
That is correct Stefan. At the moment, this was the only solution we found since Freefly don't support any triggering of the Alexa Mini through Wedge or their Universal Rec-solution. We are in the same boat using the Movi Controller. So we ended up pairing the extra receiver to the pilot's radio and having him trigger the rec. Might be other solutions out there, so I'm all ears for a better way!
