    Hi Everyone,

Anyone have any insight into a long power run option for MOVI to maybe 5 pin XLR power? 20-30ft running to the MOVI for what could amount to 6-8 hour flight times? Is this just crazy thinking? The camera would be mounted to an external jib so there's no operator and it won't be accessible during the flight.

    Any thoughts would be welcome.

Sean: Are you talking about attaching this to a copter (you mention "flight") or to a ground-based jib?
If it's a ground based jib, I don't see why you couldn't power it from some larger battery pack or AC-based power supply. You will get a voltage drop across the long wires (heavier cable = lower voltage loss), but I have not seen or heard anything that suggests you cannot do this.

The longer cable will increase the electrical inductance of the cable -- hopefully someone from FF can comment on this.
