The new 3.0 firmware for the RedRock Wireless FF no longer works properly with the MōVI Controller. They've increased the resolution by 3 or 4 times, so now the MōVI controller only moves a small amount rather than the whole focus scale.

The Redrock update is located athttp://store.redrockmicro.com/updatemygear.html

I also tried it. It was the same phenomenon. In V2.0 it works normally.
It seems to need something changed in the MoVI Controller side in order to solve this problem.

Any update on this? Is it possible to downgrade the firmware on the RR basestation back to 2.0 so it works properly with Movi controller?

  7. Hi Apachemedia - At this time it slated for the next firmware release but at this time I do not have a date scheduled. Also, please note that we do require your actual first and last name for your forum profile, if you could change yours, that would be most appreciated.

Second that. Are we any closer to the firmware update needed to address this issue? Thanks

Freefly didn't update this thread, but for those that are following it. It appears that the new firmware addresses the issue of RR 3.0 firmware. I'll know later this week if it all works.

Works with some issues. Rec trigger on Controller triggers movement in lens motor and some times just doesn't work.

    Not stable as of now.

    Update today.

Still is picky, but with MicroRemote Firmware 4, you have to select MicroRemote 3 in Aux Input each time you power up your controller. Even with saving it doesn't save the preference. I have no idea why, it's annoying but it does work.

I'd say it's a little more stable now, but the selection of the MicroRemote is something to be aware of.
