Does anyone know if, when measuring the voltage, the voltage reading is per battery cell, or is the total voltage of all 4 battery cells? (This question is related to storing the battery within recommended voltage parameters.) Thank you.
Gary: Thank you for your reply. The multimeter reads 15 Volts (hard to see). Does that mean the 4 cells together are producing 15 volts and that each cell is producing 15/4 = 3.75 volts? Thank you.
Ian: As Gary say, in this case, because you are reading the voltage across all four cells, then you are seeing the total "in series" voltage. If you measured the voltage across the individual cells in the balance lead, then, at a maximum you should see around 4.2v and at a minimum (if you want to avoid damaging the battery), 3.0v. Andy.
