So I am trying to figure out how to set the compass for the new software on my MoVI. I am in Albuquerque NM. I look up the coordinates like it says and it give me two numbers and in the app it only asks for one.. ?? Not sure if I am doing something wrong.
Is it asking for GPS coordinates or Magnetic Declination? According to the User Guide, it should want the Declination. There should only be one Magnetic Declination value for your location. According to my Helios app, your Magnetic Declination in Albuquerque, NM is 8.68 degrees.
This is what the declination is for where I am at now: Declination from WMM: 8.28° (+E | -W) ±0.35° So what number do I input into the movi?
When you do the compas configutor do you need to be outside? You know the one where it has you flip the movi 180 then 360..
Trevor you should be outside, away from any structures or things that might induce magnetic interference. So don't do it under high tension lines, middle of a junk yard, standing on volcanic rocks.
