John, now that explains alot. Went directly to the garage and tested, works perfect! 15 of 16 channels now at use 1, Throttle 2, Ale 3, Ele 4, Yaw 5, Tilt 6, Pan 7, Roll 8, Alt 9, CF 10, GPS 11, Mode 12, Motorstart 13, Zoom (sony 730) 14, Rec/TakeStill (sony 730) 15, Free ! 16, Smart-OSD screenchange Thanks alot for fast input, help AND fix for my request
Have the leds running after motor start, so its kinda OK, but a strong landing lamp perhaps?! But most desirable thing would be a parachute! I think I hold my channel for that, yes.
Sedric: One of the concerns I had about the MC32 was it's weight. Do you find that to be a problem? Thanks Andy.
Not at all Andy, but the transmitterbelt with a cross on your back is a must. Had the mx20 before this one, but this one, I love the "front" buttons and the large sticks, dubble screens. I also have a futaba z12 (for my "normal" helis) and these two are amost at the same weight. So no, no problem at all. And the speaker is very useful. Just a great radio
Thanks for the feedback, Sedric. I also noticed on the Graupner web site that there are some new accessories coming out that will add a rotary control or a three position switch to the top of the sticks -- which, for single person operation opens up some interesting possibilities for camera control. You could use one rotary on one stick for tilt and one rotary on the other for pan. Not sure when they're going to be available though. The web page says mid February 2013. Andy.
They are sold out at graupner, I know, but local store here in Sweden has some accessories Now the 3 slides in the middle works great for one man operation too and I dont pan in single, just yaw. But I added 2 3-way and 1 2-way switches to the radio, now I can control a spaceship!
Oh...I didn't realize that Graupner was back-ordered -- I thought they were new products not yet on the market. Interesting. Well, I may have to order them up from Sweden if I go ahead with the MC-32. If I hear that Sweden's launched a satellite, I'll know who did the launch! Thanks Andy.
One question about the channel assignment please. Is it possible to get more them 8 channels to operate from a Spektrum radio? I have a JR 11X and would like to try something a little different. john
Hi, I just upgraded to firmware 1.03 and I have some problems: 1. When I try to configure each radian, only listed as Spektrum the pan, the tilt and roll as S.Bus (I use spektrum satellite and DX5e), 2. When I move the pan, tilt moves also, (I set the pan on the left stick and the right tilt). any suggestions ? Gustavo
Hi Gustavo: It would be very helpful to understand your configuration, so could tell me the following: 1. Can you tell me exactly how you have the Radian sensors connected? Please identify each sensor and the connections to each port on each sensor. For example: Roll Sensor: Port 1. GR-24 receiver and power. 2. 3. To Tilt sensor 4. To Roll Servo 2. Than could you follow this procedure please: a. With the gimbal powered off, connect up the USB and adapter from your PC to the Radian sensor to which you have the receiver connected. b. Power on the gimbal and sensors with the transmitter set to the Off mode for the Radian sensors. c. Use the Radian software, connect the Radian cable to the Radian sensor connected to your receiver. d. Click on the Connect button to connect to the Radian sensor, and check you have a connection. e. Click on the Read button. f. Take a screen shot of the Diagnostic and Configuration windows and post it to this thread with your response to Question 1 above. g. Then connect up to the other two Radian sensors in turn, do a Read, and take a screen shot of the Diagnostic Window and Configuration Window and post those screen shots too. Thanks Andy.
Hi Andy, Pan 1 = free 2 = power 3 = to roll 4 = servo 5 = free 6 = free Roll 1 = from pan 2 = free 3 = to tilt 4 = servo 5 = free 6 = free Tilt 1 = from roll 2 = free 3 = free 4 = servo 5 = free 6 = free PAN
