Well I was having Navi update error. and andys video got me fixed up my boot is the ONLY update need. the rest are update

    Flight cntrl- v2.12a
    bl-cntrl-0.31a
    Nav-2.12a
compass- error(err31) not calibrated( obviously have to go outside to calibrate it)

How critical is the BL-Cntrl update? I don't think i'm capable of this..

I'm not sure a better image will show us what the version number of the firmware is, but try and get a closeup of just one of the BL-Ctrl's. Then send it to me at ajohnsonlaird AT me DOT com.

The FC 2.1 would serve as a backup. Remember, with MK's USB adapter, if you put the little two pin jumper so that it shorts the two pins, you can power up an FC (or NC) board just by itself, with nothing else connected to it.

So you could use MK Tool to upgrade the FC 2.1 just with it sitting on your desk. That would at least allow you to verify that it was functional and that it is more than just a piece of copter history...

hey Sven just checked out that photo looks like your running the old bl v.20 which means the v 0.31b for bl-ctrl are correct.
The other updates of the bl board are for the newer v3 boards.

You should be able to go re-calibrate your bird and go have some fun.

Oh, I didn't mention. I'm flying yourself and Andy here. To aid me! haha.

I'm working on right now what battery to run. I have 2x 4400mah 20c 4S..... But i'm looking to get a LITTLE larger battery as you know. I'm looking 8000+. What would you recommend jason.

EDIT: The gimbal with servos and camera(missing some wiring and VTX on there) weights 4.3lbs. So total i'm saying 5.5lbs by the time 2 more vtx and some wiring goes on and a battery

I have now converted it into a y6 for fun but havent had a chance to fly it yet.

Maybe dual 10,000mah 4s. My friend has 2 Brand new 16,000mah 4s he is willing to sell, But those are LARGE.

With 5 pounds(2.5-3kg) already under the cinestar i don't wanna be running it to the wall..

    Here is some specs

    mk FC board-v2.1
    mk NC board-v2.0(on boom)
    Mk distribution board
Mk gps shield.(ontop of NC on boom)
    motors--QC-3328 motor
    props- 14x5.5.
    Propeller Weight: 1.06 oz.
    Graupner mx-20 remote

you might pushing your max payload with those QC-3328 motors and 14" props.
If you go any heavier you might need to upgrade the motors and props to get to 50% hover to be safe

You saying putting the 10k-16k batteries on would be getting heavy. or running my gimbal and camera is heavy?

We have lifted a wooden kitchen chair with this cinestar up to about 100 feet and dropped it haha, So didn't think i would be too bad with the gimbal and camera.

Edit: lots of guys have reported 25-30lb payload with these motors

How much did you spend on the whole thing?

I like quadcopters very much. My favourite are best DJI quadcopters.
