Hi Guys, for those of you who have flown/flying the Alexa Mini, how are you getting video out for your ground station? How are you powering it? Lipos?

    Hi Howard
We are using a Teradek Bolt Pro 2000 SDI HDMI unit and powering the Mini with lipo and other lipo powering MOVI and Teradek.

Thanks Kat! Where did you source an 8-pin lemo connector pigtail for the Alexa's power port? I'm assuming you're using a lemo to deans or EC5 connector for lipo connection. Heck, while i'm at it, do you have a pinout diagram for the 8-pin lemo connector?

    Hi Howard.
The lemo connector is the same as the Amira so if you have the pin configuration for that you are set. We had ours custom made by Media Blackout to EC3 connector.

    Hi guys,
Do you have baseline settings I can try for me AlexaMini setup on a Multirotor?
We a e using an 800gram superspeed lens, and powering from a 4000mah lipo direct to the cameras lemo, m15 gimbal, SDI to HDMI converter and connex.
We seem to be fine with pan and tilt hold, but getting excessive roll wobble.
    Thanks
    Matt

Is the lemo pin config the same as the red? Does the Alexa have an HDMI out that can plug into the Connex?

    It is different than Red.

There is no HDMI output from Alexa Mini. We use Atomos Connect S2H converter.

we recently flew the Alexa Mini with Zeiss glass and Paralinx. We ended up with an AUW of 16.8 Kg. Ozkan, what is your AUW with the mini and accessories?

The copter is a modified Cinestar X8, motors are KDE 5215XF-435KV with 18" props. And also using MK + Herkules III OktoXL ESC.

Here is a picture of this copter:

Flying time is around 8 minutes with 2x10A 6s batteries.

    Keith,

Do you refer to the post that I fly Atomos Shogun with Sony A7s?

So how are you powering the Alexa? With standard batteries? Or Lipo?

Same as powering the Epic, 4s lipo. The Mini is definitely not as power hungry as the Epic!

The same here, I use 2200 mAh 4S lipo and it is enough at least for two-three flights.

    Ah, sorry.

Yeah, that's a very little unit. It's 115 grams without battery. I power it from Movi battery with 12V UBEC, so that saves a few grams for me. With battery, it's around 200 grams.

Ozkan, what's your motor hub > motor hub distance? Is it under or over 900mm? Just curious.
