What are the redundant features of the Alta? We get permitted to fly with our current HL Cinestar / MK drone without question cause of the redundancy we've built into the drone - basically anything can fail and there is a redundant system on board. Transport Canada likes us for that feature. If the flight controller fails on the Alta, is there a backup on board? Curious what people have found.
There aren't any "out there" in the wild yet, but my synopsis from back at NAB describes what Tabb told me they were doing in that area. There is only one flight controller. http://perspectivair.com/2015/04/15/freefly-alta-first-impressions-and-technical-qa/
the redundancy is also getting a bigger and bigger issue in europe. they want to establish europe-wide guidlines where you also need a redundant flight control... the alta would be awesome but for commercial use useless because you wont get the permission to fly :-( freefly!! do something, i want it so much...
We are hoping the next release will be an Alta octo.. looking forward to that.. maybe after that the synapse will be released as a standalone product... hurry up NAB..
