We are currently using our M15 with an Epic on the Alta. However, for smaller jobs we'd like the option to put a smaller camera on the rig. Does anyone know of any problems using the GH4 with the Movi15?

Might be to light. If so add weight to the gimbal and balance as normal. I've got a small HD video camera that I tried. Probably to light and very low strength settings.

GH4 and the Movi 15 dont work well together unless you bring the weight up. In so doing you must ensure that the extra weight you use is solidly mounted. Any movement in the ballast will not make the gimbal work well. Personally I just opted to have an M5 as well as my M15.

Get a cage and you should be fine. I did a shoot with M15 and GH4 (and no cage) and it was pretty rough. Of course I had a lot of gak bolted on, it was just extraordinarily difficult to balance with all the other stuff there.

Thanks Austin. Are these cages available online or did you make one?

Even with the cage I dont get great stability with the GH4 as I mentioned above.

I didn't have one, so it's only a theory. Wooden Camera makes a cage for the GH4 that would be a good idea to have regardless.

What is your gyro and output filter setting?
