Sticking with the APC slow fly 14x4.7 and trying some new motors that I can't reveal yet. APC's seem to do a fine job for the money, and I just can't justify the "extra money to benefit" ratio of a different prop yet, although the Xoar's are catching my attention. I must say, you are a busy guy on this forum! Keep up the good work! Cheers, Craig
Understood. Search for Tabb's comments on Xoar -- synopsis is: good props, don't stand up to minor dings as well as APC. Thanks for the compliment. I type really fast. Andy.
Since when did you replace the gimbal with a cardboard box, Guilherme? <evil grin> 40C sounds just a little too hot....6C in Portland, Oregon. Send sunshine... Andy.
Oh. I should have known. It's got shock-absorbing crush zones. Silly me. Not everything that looks like a cardboard box actually is a cardboard box. Andy.
Oh no, Johan. You'll get Josh in Phoenix, Arizona, and the guys in Brazil giving us reports of how nice and warm it is! Do you take special steps to keep the LiPo batteries warm before you put them on the Cinestar? Andy.
I keep the LiPo batteries warm before the flight. I tried to fly with a battery that have been in the car over the night. That battery lasted for 30 seconds, so keep the batteries warm and they will work OK. Here is o photo from tonight.
Hi Dave: Yes. It's a bit "cosy" and you will probably need to make some longer Velcro straps, but enough of the Lipos rest on the battery plate to hold them securely. Andy.
