The red REMOTE doesn't have a very good range to do this effectively so I bought this unit. http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentwire/red.htm based on the suggestions on this board.

I have it hooked up and wired correctly as the switch on my MX20 is engaging the red light on the gentwire unit however the camera is not recording. The companies directions in regards to the red scarlet are vague at best.
I have the cable plugged into the sync connector on the red and I thought I had the settings right by looking at the red manual but I must be missing something.

    Here's the settings I have:

    GPIO sync - Pro I/O GPI> PRO I/O
GPI A High - Record start
GPI A low - Record Stop
GPI B high - Record Start
GPI B low - Record stop

    Keys>Key mapping>advanced
Key source : Pro I/O GPI
User Key: Pro I/O GPI high
    Key action: Record start

    Any thoughts?

I figured it. It was a setting in the brain GPI had to change it to general purposes.

    Hi Dave,
I have tried your settings and it's only working with a normal switch. Do you know how to make it work with a toggle switch?
    Cheers

Isn't a toggle switch considered a normal 2 way switch on the radio? DO you mean momentary or 3 way?

    Hi Dave,
I tried to make it work with a 2 way switch (the one with the spring) with no luck. But I signed a available 3 way switch for stop/start. But my camera operator would prefer to have it on the (spring) switch..
