This is really freakin' exciting. This looks like the machine we've all been waiting for. Congrats, Freefly!!
Now, please tell me this isn't going to be $50,000 and shipping in 2016.

My wish is rather an iOS app that was long promised for an older product.

This is a problem that can be solved with an $80 piece of hardware (an Android tablet). Why is this still a thing? Can't we all just move on? Personally, after seeing the spate of new products Freefly just dropped, I'm in awe.

And I couldn't give a rat's behind about an iOS app. Even though I am an iPhone/iPad/Mac user.

That´s good for you, Steve. For me customer service is a part of the product and while I do have to admit that other than the iOS thing, freefly was OK with customer service so far, please understand that this IS an issue for some. I do own an Android tablet, but I´m not happy with it (being a rather cheap piece of hardware as you stated), and also carrying at least two tablets around without even having a spare when one has problems. iOS was promised and not delivered - period. That keeps me from thinking about upgrading my equipment with new freefly stuff.

i think they used the wrong bluetooth hardware within the M10 and so they are not able to communicate wireless with iOS.

the ALTA is amazing btw. I didn't think about the synapse anymore and i thought freefly is not crazy enough to go in a market where a chinese company controlls the whole world - but they are :) and this is really cool!!!!

but i hope it won't cost the price of a car...

It's most interesting that they are accomplishing 15 pounds on a flat 6. This really has all the key elements anyone can really want. I can only imagine the price. My guess is $20K.

I am going to be at NAB in a few hours, and I would like to get some clarity on things like the radio systems and the power systems. But that price for what they described seems like a fair deal. And by fair deal I mean I will find the first person at the booth who will take my money and I will wrestle them to the ground.

Steve, can you clarify these also with Freefly representatives:) :

    * They mention about OSD. Do we have built-in telemetry like MK for Graupner of Futaba?
    * GPS system, we don't see any antenna outside, any details of it?
    * Are they willing to sell frame only option? Or FC only option?
    * I see that they are using 2x9A 6S batteries, what's flight time with maximum payload?

8500$ is very affordable for this ship. A DIY solution which can lift the same payload, costs almost the same.

I imagine running Alta with two gimbals:)

I doubt that is going to be possible, because it looks like the battery carrier needs to mount on the opposite side as the gimbal.

Steve can you please report back on flight times and why they went flat 6 opposed to flat 8/X8?

I checked and the answer is no, the Alta does not include the MōVI.
    Nice thought, though, Guilherme!

Looks like the MoVI might be getting retracts in the near future. Check out the product page for the Alta. Nice!
