Ive had the Movi M5 for a few days now and have a couple of questions..

    1. Whats the proper way to go into inverted mode? Turn gimbal on and then simply invert it? Or invert it first and then turn on? Which is best?

    2. What happens if I spin the roll axis for inverted use so that the camera points the right way up?

    3. When the gimbal i stunned on, is it ok to force the motors by hand in effort to straighten what the gimbal thinks is dead centre? The motors have a lot of force and I'm wondering i fit bursts the gimbal if I try to move the axis's?

    4. How long does the battery last in continuous use? With say a 5D Mk II on boar or a Sony A7S ..

    Thanks...

Don't know about 1 & 2, but 3 is a NO, and with mine I can easily get 45-60 minutes.

    1. Needs to inverted and then the power turned on.
    2. You can do that. The camera mount can be on top or bottom. Just needs to be balanced and then power turned on.
    3. If you have Smooth Lock turned on you adjust the tilt as you described. You can force pan/roll but they will go back to their starting positions.
    4. Steve answered that one.

How do you boot it while it is inverted. In terms of, how to you hold it steady enough. The stand will only hold it in the right orientation?

You don't really need the stand to boot.. I find if I hold the Movi steady enough it boots in my hand.. But I haven't tried doing this while inverted first. I will try it next time I use the Movi..

Easiest way is to boot it while in the stand and then flip inverted. To go inverted it works best by rotating around the tilt axis.

Brad: If I understand your point, you start up normally, and then overpower the tilt brushless motor and invert the camera frame.

    Is that correct?

    Andy.

Yeah, to be honest I am still a little confused lol..

I think I saw Tabb turn it inverted in a video while it was powered on. He turned the handles into inverted mode, then flipped it about the roll axis.

    So is either way okay?
