I switched mx radio to an MX-16 and I am not getting the log files for my Cinestar 8 flights. Is there something I need to turn on in the menus?

    thanks
    John

John which flight logs? If it is on the MX-16 I don't see anything in the manual that it has a recording function like some of the other Graupner TX's.

Poopers. So I need the MX-24 to get the log data?

Graupner has changed lots of model numbers and I haven't kept up. Just look to see if the brochures or manuals mention an SD card.

The MX-16 does have an SD card. I don't remember having to tell the MX-24 to record the logs.

    John:
See page 23 of the MX-16 manual:
    Data recording / storage
The process of saving data on the SD card is coupled to
the flight timer: if the timer is started, then data saving
commences - provided that a suitable memory card
is in the card slot, and a telemetry connection to the
receiver exists - and ceases again when the flight timer
is stopped. The flight timer is started and stopped as
described in the “Timers” section on page 77 for fixedwing
models, and pages 86 for model helicopters.

Have you programmed the flight timer to start when you advance the throttle stick?

My bad. It has been so long since I looked at the log files I had forgotten that what I was looking for. The GPX files are on the chip in the Navi board.

It's certainly true that the GPX files are recorded on the microSD card in the Navigation Control board, but there is a significant advantage to enabling telemetry logging in the Graupner transmitter -- if you have a fly-away, it will have the last known GPS coordinates from the aircraft -- and if you have a crash, and the microSD card pops out of the Navigation Control Board, then you still have *some* telemetry data.
