Any idea what the weight is on that? Looks like it's got to be around 6 or more.

With my Tokina 11-16mm it is 5lbs 7.6 oz, and it won't balance like that! The tokina puts the SDI out right at the tilt rails. So I'm guessing that is a good deal over 6.

I’ll pass on a suggestion: several folks have pointed out to me that lens hoods (which I use religiously in all my work) are a bad idea on aerial gimbals, as they can act like a sail and can cause wind buffeting in some situations, either from rapid copter moves or just from catching the downdraft from your motors.

Probably not an issue for handheld use, though.

And can you please change your username to your full name (First Last)? That’s our convention here.

i looks like it is over 6 but its balancing and the motors are working just fine…. i also put samsung ssd( very light ) drives in the blackmagic 4k to make it better on the weight. The camera has to be set towards the back and balancing the lens weight in the middle of the bottom bar and the lens and the camera act as a see saw…. ( i hope that makes sense) I can put a 80--200mm Nikon lens on the movie and it works well as well…. balances just fine and operates great.

Best of luck. I hope you come right!.
