Here is a photo of the FC. It is just so strange that I can only get into the settings by using MK Tool 1.78 and no other versions
The versions of MK Tool and the firmware on the FC are linked together. This may help: http://www.mikrokopter.de/ucwiki/en/SoftwareDownload (But please re-post if it does not.) Andy.
I am getting an update fail now when trying to update to V2.06, and then straight after the fail, it reboots itself and installs Version 0.88. Very Bizarre.
Thanks Andy, I opened the firmware update from the Koptertool directory and it worked this time however I got a "HARDWARE ERROR 1:32 - then I relized I had it upside down hahaha So, I have updated to V2.06 on both FC and MK Tool and still I have exactly the same problem: TX/RX is bound as shown in the channels tab (with corresponding stick movement) but still not input on the gimbal. Thanks for all of your input so far, I get excited everytime I hear a new solution
OH I have one idea you know how in the new software you have to use both sticks to start? So left stick upper left then both sticks bottom right or left to start will that work? like dji start style?
I don't think the mixer is used at all when the FC is controlling a gimbal. So, just to summarize -- you can see the Tx control sticks moving by connecting up MK Tool to the Gimbal's FC board, but you are not getting any motion on any of the gimbal. Can you describe the gimbal set up (I don't think you've mentioned anything about the gimbal) and post some pictures including some general views and some detailed views of the wiring. Also can you use MK Tool to Save the current settings on the FC to a .mkp file on your PC and post that -- it contains all the settings for the FC. Thanks Andy.
Hi Andy I tried to upload the .mkp file but it will not show when I try to attach it. Does it need to be converted before uploading to the forum? Here are some pictures, I have it wired up exactly the same as the quadrocopter guys.
Thanks, Patrick. I'll look at it as soon as I can tomorrow -- but it might not be until Monday evening as my work day promises to have quite a few moving parts to it! Andy.
Hi Andy, still having issues with this and can't get any inputs to function on the actual gimbal, did you get a chance to look at the .mkp file? Thank you Patrick
Oh. I remember posting a message -- well, I remember preparing a posting -- I wonder whether, duh, I moved away from the thread without actually hitting Post Reply. Sorry about that. Not that I have ever done that before. The gist of my previous posting was that I didn't see anything weird in the mkp file at all. Unless another forum member knows more about this application of the FC as a gimbal controller, I suspect your next move might have to be to post on the English part of Mikrokopter's forum and mikrokopter.de and ask for technical assistance. Sorry I cannot be of more help. Andy.
Thats ok. Thanks very much for your help so far Andy (and others). I think I will order another FC and see if that fixes the problem
