Hello, I have suddenly three lights flashing rapidly. Drive fail, Gyro fail, Barometer…, Accelerom... Status: ERROR IMU: Error Anyone can help? Job tomorrow... When I reboot the app it says
When I reboot using the app i get: Micro SD card: INIT1 FAIL! (in terminal) Removed and replugged SD card, no change.
Have you checked that all the jacks are seated in the motors? They can be deceptive; push them gently but firmly with the 3mm Freefly tool (being careful not to damage the cords). If they are all seated and your rig is motionless when booting and in the starting position to be careful, you might have a different problem.
I´ve unplugged and replugged every single cable now and also changed IMU and the 4 pin cable that connects the two electronics boys without success. Here a video from the terminal at reboot. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zux6l0vfi69wtpb/2014-05-10 09.23.38.mp4
Hey Robert, I hope you've had better success by now, but if you are still struggling, feel free to use an App we are beta-testing to find local help. go to: http://www.CinemaOxide.com/movi Click on "Movi Hero App" you can choose from a local pool of Movi owners in case you need to source a backup option, or if you think a fellow Movi operator would be helpful to diagnose the issue you are experiencing
The one on the top of the right electronics box on the M10. It´s a 2gb sandisk card with FAT32 format.
I've had a similar problem in the past, granted not to this extent. What third party accessories do you have attached to the MoVI and how are you powering them? Can you send a picture of the entire setup?
Robert other things to try. Reset to factory defaults but save your configuration as you could reload it manually by using a text editor to read it. If that still doesn't work then try reinstalling the firmware. Latest firmware is on the front page of the Freefly.com web page. Has the MoVI been working ok and this just started to occur? Can you shoot a short video and post it showing the gimbal as you power up? Need to see the lights as well as the gimbal itself.
Hi, there are no 3rd party parts on it. Only the epic as ballast (which is of course balanced) and the MoVI itself. Did multiple resets, firmware installs, replugged every single cable multiple times and tried 3 different imu cables. I don´t have a drive error most of the time and the pressure is always negative. When I reboot in the app it gets less negative. Mostly the initial boots pressure value is around -2500 and after a reboot in app it´s around -150. The errors I get are accelerometer, gyro and barometer. Drive usually not. On startup the 3 green lights flicker first, then sometimes solid 3 lights for a sec, short black and then all 3 flickering again. Rarely I have seen only the middle one solid for a second and then all three flickering again. In the app on the monitor I can see all 3 gyro axis work as I get values. I don´t get values from the motors. Can´t make a video of the startup failure right now but will later. Thanks
Do you happen to have a spare one you could replace it with -- that error on reset is worrisome. The firmware is obviously having a problem with the microSD card -- I'm not sure that this will fix the other problems, but it's a place to start and, hopefully, you're not too far away from somewhere that sells the microSD cards. Andy.
I replaced it but still the same. Even without. Gary, here is a link to a video from the startup procedure: https://www.dropbox.com/s/epeine80ye385m8/2014-05-12 09.29.47.mp4 Greetings
Robert that normally would indicate a loose connector. Check each of the again that they are fully seated. And if you haven't done so get an email out to support@freeflysystems.com. May be something more than the cables that will trigger it needing to go back to Freefly.
Contacted freely but they only answer mo-fr 9-5. I hope not to have to ship it to freefly as this sucks with customs from outside US and it takes forever. Already lost enough money with this failure...
