How do you do this? O-rings decided to break...... How to you reattach the o ring bands to the battery latch on the MoVI? Thank you
Erm - without having the MoVI in front of me: I´d assume you just lay the latch onto the o-rings, and move one loop through the other. Then you do the same with the battery basket - just that you put the latch through the loop instead. I guess you´ve realized by now that english is not my first language :-D. Reminds me that I have to carry some rubber bands in my camera bag - just in case.
Mine broke also, and I'm embarrassed to admit how long it took me to figure out which way to wrap and stretch the cable and new o-ring. I figured it out eventually, but really have no idea how to describe it. If someone could post a close up picture how it looks when it's secured correctly, that would probably be the most helpful. I'm not near my MoVI at the moment.
Wolfgang, you did an excellent job of describing it. Gary, that is funny. Reminds me of our conversation topic at NAB. Having four teenage daughters finally helped. My band snapped and I replaced it with a thick hair rubber-band ... there's always three or four on the floor near the shower. Works beautifully, stretches great, durable, and plentiful at my house. All the best, lael
Mine broke also… only lasted a few shoots. Have put in the spare, ordered replacements. Hopefully there is a more robust solution for the M15.
Keith Quadrocopter may have them or at the Freefly store http://store.freeflysystems.com/col...roducts/replacement-o-rings-for-battery-latch
Walmart has them. Although you have to buy it in a pack of 25. Elastic hair bands. I have used one for 2 yrs now.
