Personally I'd go with the GH4 because it's a stills camera, too.

My personal choice is still the GH4.

I'm currently selling all of my Nikon stuff and moving entirely to the Panasonic platform.

Apparently there is no image stabilization in the new GH4 :(
Most be the only downside with this wonder camera.

There was no IS in the GH3, either. I'd rather have the highest possible IQ than compromise the optics or electronics with something like BOSS or Olympus's in-camera system. The 12-35/2.8 OIS system is pretty good.

Steve: just curious as to why you think the BOSS compromises the optics? The whole lens and sensor appears to move....

One issue is the amount of glass that the little motors can move is limited, so therefore the optical design is inherently limited IMHO. The other issue is more a longevity issue, as I can't imagine that flying the 760V on a copter for year after year wouldn't result in sucking more than a few bugs or other things into the works.

That said, the CX760V is a fine little camera, and I use mine all the time. :)

I had one CX760 drop from 400 feet into a corn field (soft ground, don't ask). The outer case took a hit but the BOSS still works -- it has an accelerometer that shuts it down on impact (and closes the lens doors too). Granted the motors have limits but it looks to be mass-balanced pretty well.

Does anyone know the details on how to get 10 bit 422 out the hdmi without using the yagh attachment? Is it possible to get 4k 10 bit 422?

And what equipment is required. Does anyone plan on flying this camera with the base or a digital recorder?

We took it flying to and it worked great! It's not the final firmware in it but it still preformed great!! (If you are wondering why we shoot everything so far from the jump, its because we were using a Paralinx arrow and we were losing signal closer to the jump)

If you want to see closer stuff check this (shot with FS700)

If I understand it correctly you can shoot 8 bit 4K 4:2:0 in camera and then there are numerous programs coming out that will convert this footage to 10 bit 4:2:2 1080P footage. It's somehow combining all the increased color depth from the 4K into the HD image. This seems like a very compelling reason to originate in 4K even if you're delivering HD. Haven't tried it though...

12-35 on the gh4 and if I remember right I think it was a 20mm pancake on the FS700.
