I do lot of low light work with a Canon C300. However, I am not sure what you consider as expensive. If C300 is expensive, then C100 is there. If not, then you have to move down to the 5D Mark III territory.

The Canon 5d Mark III is a great low light camera. For aerials Im not sure why anyone would fly a C300 over a 5d markIII. The C300 comes with a big weight penalty, more $ at risk, and not reality any improved image quality over a 5d mark III. In fact many of us prefer the full frame sensor look of the 5D markIII over the C300.

1DC has amazing low light capability. Best i've seen from all the Canon and many other brands.
