I've upgraded my 360 to have the 8017's, FF adjustable tilt bracket and adjustable camera rail. However, I still cannot get the camera's CG high enough to achieve proper tilt balance.

Any suggestions? Or should I let the motors just do the extra work since this camera will be so incredibly light in comparison to what their work load can manage.

    Thanks!!

I'd the same problem and finally drilled the horizontal boom ( under the camera to acces to the camera screw )and put some weight on the back side of the camera support. I dont have the adjustable camera rail.

Duane: Any chance you could post one or two images of the gimbal so I can visual this?

Sure thing Andy, I'll be home in a few hours. For now this might help (http://www.unmannedtech.co.uk/3/post/2013/12/balancing-your-brushless-gimbal.html). I'm referring to the GIF on the bottom left. I cannot get the camera high enough to center the gravity on the pitch axis. How this translates in my balance is that when I tilt the camera either lens up or lens down, the tray will always swing back to the bottom.

OK. This was the key phrase: "the tray will always swing back to the bottom." :)
Which camera are you using, Duane?
You may have to "shim" the camera to get it up high enough -- or, if you happen to have the FF Gimbal (not the MōVI), then raise the side tubes so that the front of the side booms are higher than the back.

It's a GH2 I've looked at shimming and am trying to source some longer M3s in local shops because I don't have anything long enough on hand that will allow for a large enough shim. I'm using these side tubes so I can't cheat the camera any higher there.

What size M3's do you need, Duane?
Can you tweak the side booms of the gimbal to tilt the front end up higher than the back end?

I tried that Andy, but unfortunately the angle of the booms relative to the roll motor/rear boom has no effect on the CG of the camera relative to the pitch axis.

I tried adding a spacer to the M3 to raise the whole camera rail, but only have nylon which I would never trust (see attached photo). My preferred method would be to add a stand-off which I'd screw into from above and below (see third photo). Again, all I have here is nylon...I need to find a store that sells M3 related bits which I've got no idea where to even start for that...

By the way, if you're stuck:
    boltdepot.com
    fastener-express.com

They have longer M3's than that place in Surrey.
Will Canada Customs give you grief if you order stuff down in the USA?

Being that I'm on the border and do so much purchasing and shipping of 'things', my wife and I keep an US PO Box 10 minutes from the house here. It isn't really out of the way and we fuel up down there once a week anyways. They know our van and family, see us coming and pretty much wave us through after answering a couple standard questions.

You get added to that for ordering metric hex cap screws from the USA. Wow. Canada must be very secure.... ;)
