Ha ha... apparently the forum stopped notifying me of responses a while ago. Just saw all the responses just now. We can probably do a small run here in the near future. We just have to refine the design, source all the electronic parts and make the tooling for the milling. I don't see the need for carbon fiber as the 6061 aluminum part weighs in at about an ounce and carbon fiber would require a custom mold to get the plate to be able to conform to a shape that would be snug on the Movi. And then a large run would be needed to make it cost effective. So sticking with 6061 aluminum with a black anodize coating. May even take a biflouric acid bath before the anodize for a nice matte finish. We'll keep you posted.

Anyone know of a good source for:
    1) cloth cable covering like FreeFly uses on all their wires?
    2) a very small micro size inline fuse holder? (that's the clunkiest part of the design right now)
    3) inexpensive P-Tap connector source? Anton Bauer charges $15 for each one!

Will do. Actually refining CAD file today and purchasing machining material tomorrow. Just need sources from my above post if anyone has any.

    Thanks for the P-Tap links.

Sorry, don't have an M5 unit to measure, etc. But, maybe it doesn't matter since the batteries and trays are for accessories and not to power the Movi itself. Couple questions:

    1) is the top handle bar the same diameter on the M5 as the M10?
    2) are the rods on the gimbal the same diameter and spacing on the M5 as the M10?

If the answer to those questions are yes, then these plates would fit the M5 just fine as is.

Our plates are programmed, materials purchased and started running on the mill this week. Probably into next week and then off for an acid bath and then anodize. With wiring, etc. we're probably looking at 3 weeks or so from this point.

Hi Dana I think it is the same diameter so it wold fit!! But the M5 battery is smaller!! But for accessories We can buy some M10 batteries and it wold work just fine!! Dana check this battery cell checker: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...to_USB_Charging_Adapter_and_Cell_Checker.html
This one is more compact and in a hard case! Also have a USB 5v 1000mAH output perfect for the Paralinx!!

But if you can make one for the M5 batteries it is more convenient to use the same battery for everything and have a bunch of then!!

That cell checker looks pretty sweet.

I hear you on the battery sizes. That's what I love about having all my M10 batteries the same. But also I just looked at the M5 battery and it's specs and I'm pretty sure it would fit in our trays since it is smaller than the M10 batteries.

Movi top and bottom battery plates for the FreeFly LiPo batteries back from anodizing. We'll start assembly this week. Each plate has about a dozen parts. You'll see that the plates are actually rather intricate with 2 P-Taps per plate, custom rubber pads to keep the plates from shifting and to keep your Movi balanced, fuses, etc. Better pics to come later this week along with ordering info.

Just ordered my combo plates for my M10! Was fun seeing the evolution on this forum, from mockup to truly a pro piece of gear.

Here's a couple more pics of the plates installed on working rigs. You can see the plates and batteries blend in to the rig pretty well and are very secure.
