G'Day Tab, Do the M10 batteries fit in the holder, if I want to use those? I have a load of them for operating with my M10 as well so would like to get away with a single battery across both systems? Glad to see the 4K just fits, when I reviewed the dimensions, I told my cam op, that I was going to but his camera on the mill and shave 2.5mm off the top and bottom of it ...... this will make him happy Thanks Chris
Tabb, will the wider battery mounting plate be available as a separate as I would like to use one of them on my M10? Thanks
Tabb, i see that you use blackmagic4k ( 1.7 kg) and the sigma 18-35 ( 811g) on the movi m5 . The total weight of this setup is 2.511 kg which is 241 grams more weight that the one specified on m5 freeflysistem page (2.27 kg) . It works whit this weight , or not? Thank you!
G'Day oobobo Have a quick look at this ... http://forum.freeflysystems.com/index.php?threads/real-names.497/ I'm glad to see the 4k jammed in the M5, I reckon there is a fair chance if Tab is showing us that, then it's probably going to work, there just may not be additional capacity for follow focus and wireless transmitter to be mounted on the tilt bar. But as we have seen from the M10, every person has a different setup even given identical equipment. Cheers Chris
Hi Chris....At this time the battery cages and battery sizes are completely independent for both the M5 and the M10 and will not fit in the battery cage not designed specifically for that model.
Just to confirm what Chris noted here. The new Black Magic 4k will fit as shown but it is (as Tabb mentioned) one of the largest camera and lens combinations that will work within the dimension and weight limit.
Hi Aja Hi Ajahn...Thank you for your continued patience. I replied to your support email yesterday, please let me know if you didn't receive my response. Cheers, Denise
Hi there Quick question: I see that the transmitter option is a cool $300. Can you tell us a little bit more on what kind of transmitters are compatible with the M5? Also, please make sure you keep EU distributors posted!
Hi Marco. Currently, the M5 is compatible with both the Futaba and Spektrum transmitters...and we promise to keep the EU distributors up to date! Cheers, Denise
Steve, technically it will work but the DX-6i will not provide enough channels to operate the MōVI the same way we use it with the DX7....it will certainly communicate with the MōVI Tabb
And pardon my ignorance, but does the M5 have a built-in receiver, or would I have to add a Spektrum-compatible receiver, too?
Thanks for the video. Now please feed me a bone here. If I placed my order on July 22nd and still have not gotten an email, and you say you will get an email a week prior, please give me some hope here! When? This is worse than waiting for a baby that is weeks late, getting painful.
Ok, just to clear this matter up Can you help us providing the exact specifications needed for a transmitter to work properly? I thought that 3 channels for this gimbal were pretty enough... What's the matter with the other... Four that the DX7 uses? What functions are we missing using another transmitter with less channels?
Two things the DX6i does not have, that the DX7s does have, is a Tilt speed dial and a 3-step switch for the REMOTE/MAJESTIC/OFF modes for the MoVI. All the switches on the DX6i are (2) two Step, not three. Chris
