    Hello everyone,
Had a question. Does anyone make flexible antennas for the dx-7 radio?
Actor bumped into mine today and it snapped off! Any thoughts or ideas for protecting the antenna?

There seems to be quite a few choices if you search for:

    wifi flexible antenna
    or
wifi rubber duck antenna (I agree, it's a strange name, but....)

You will probably have to change the connector on the DX7 though.

    Andy.

Thanks andy! I didnt know if it was a specific type needed or just a general wifi antenna. Great to know!

Would a antenna that 3 DBI be fine or would I need to go bigger with a 5 DBI antenna. Just curious to know if the length or DBI has an effect on the range or responsiveness?

Buy a couple of spare DX7 antennas. Pretty cheap and easy to change. The wifi antenna would probably work fine but instead of the week point being the antenna fold over point you may end up cracking the case where you connector is located.
