Hi, I'm going to buy the movi in the next few days, and am trying to get a grasp of the ins and outs of this systems. My epic is powered by the wooden camera quick back and I use it's dtaps to power a fstop bfd and a paralinx crossbow. After some research I saw some posts saying that Vmount batteries is a possible solution and suggesting this accessorie: http://store.freeflysystems.com/collections/movi-accessory/products/epic-vlock-adapter-kit Is there a reason for side mounting the vmount? Or can I continue to use the qb from wooden camera that mounts the v mount on the back of the camera? Thanks, Pedro
Mount on back won't fit. Other option is to put power on the top bar then route a custom cable down the frame following the sensor cable. I ran that cable to a Ptap breakout to power camera and AKS. Very light weight and leaves lots of room on the cage to work with.
