Thanks, wasn't sure about that ! I wonder if this also works with their new V-mount battery module, if you have a redvolt in the handle and no V-mount battery installed ?

The problem is, the Redvolt already doesn't last very long when it's just powering the camera, so if you use it to power the Epic + Bartech + Paralinx, you'll probably get like 15 minutes of power...

I agree w Tabb & Carey as well. We're having parts machined to mount AB plate to side & power video off camera for zero wires to frame.

    Hey Tabb :)

Thanks for working so diligently to create accessories and mounting solutions to fill all the new and pressing needs of the MoVI eco-system.
I have a very demanding shoot this Monday, and am having a tough time (despite reading dozens of threads) mounting an Anton Bauer battery to the side of our Epic while still having enough clearance to fit the M10 tray.

I thought the Viewfactor kit (link below) would work, but with their side plate + their battery plate and AB batt, the entire width is about 2mm too wide to fit the M10 tray.

Might you know of any off the shelf parts that would allow for a secure side mount AB solution? The battery plate would need to connect to Epic and have a spare p-tap for FF etc. like this one: http://www.viewfactor.net/products/epic-scarlet-acc/ab-apu.html

    Thank you!

Paul: Given the tight timeline you are on, you might want to email your question to support@freeflysystems.com -- not sure how often Tabb has time to access the forum.

No real suggestions from support Andy...any news on the v-lock plate or plans to make an AB version? Getting pro power solution sorted is a major stumbling block...thank you!

    Hi Paul:
Unfortunately, neither Gary nor I are employees of FF -- we're volunteers, so we really don't have any insider information to pass on to you. FF support is your best channel -- or, of course, when FF folks post on this forum.

    Cheers
    Andy.

Still wondering what is the status on this plate. We're trying to come up with a good solution for power on our M10/Epic setup. Been using side handle batteries and not loving it. Plus, we need to get more side handle batteries if this plate is still a long way out. Tabb, or someone at Freefly, can you give us a clue as to when we might see this in the store?

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob

Freefly seems to be quietly adding things to the store without telling us o_O.

This appeared in the last coulpe of days, along with a few other goodies:

EDIT: Updated link to new page URL

  17. We are not trying to be secretive :) we are just frantically working to add as much as possible so I would highly recommend checking the store regularly for updates. The vlock mount has been added as well: http://store.freeflysystems.com/col...roducts/copy-of-movi-ninja-star-adapter-plate.

    Cheers,
    Denise

Just teasing, Denise! Worth noting that the URL for the vlock plate says "copy-of-ninja-star-adapter-plate"

By the way, already ordered the rod mount adapter, and can't wait for an excuse to get the ninja star!

  19. Nice catch Austin, will get that changed...thanks!

OK, so the one week I'm gone, the RED battery mount and the rod adaptor get put up in the store...and are already sold out!
Arrggg... any idea when they will be back in stock?
