We just wrapped up training on the MōVi with a few rounds at the Red Hook brewery. The session was totally worth coming out from Chicago for and I also escaped our first snowfall of the season Denise, Sam, Chris and Corey were really helpful and it was great to be able to solidify techniques and rigging, especially considering I'm usually flying an Epic that pushes the limit of the gimbal's weight tolerances. It was also awesome to be able to meet other forum members as we compared notes of our short journeys with our new toy, er... tool. We had owners from Japan, Barcelona, Ireland, Chilé as well as locals. I'll post some photos and video as I pull some files together during the long flight home tomorrow. Also, here's a link to my recent demo reel to get an idea of my own background (sadly it's all pre-MōVi). CB Whole lot o MōVi goin on....
Pleasure to meet you all! Here is a quick take from the flying we did at the end of the day. Nice way to get a group shot!
Tabb, you're a rockstar. Flying that bird through the trees right up to those power lines gave me shpilkes! http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shpilkes
I have to add that I've never met such a diverse group that was so pleasant to be around. Sam was a great teacher along with Corey and Chris. Denise was awesome at keeping us all in line and behaved.. Tabb had to show off with his fancy flying skills, chasing people, cars, dodging trees.. (show off). Leo and I had a blast and it was great meeting you all. Can't wait to post some footage were proud of next!
Great to meet you all Yesterday - Thanks for a great day. Look forward to keeping in touch and seeing the vision that comes from your rigs. Cheers Michael (Australia)
I am a little late to seeing this thread...I think there was some scheming that went on to keep me out of the group photo! It was great to meet all of you and thank you again for your commitment to the MoVI, we look forward to seeing the great things all of you create.
Charles/Jair...The next onsite owners training will be in January (exact date is still being determined). In December we will be doing some live webinars as well. If you have not already, please send an email to support@freeflysystems.com with your email address to be included on the training email list.
