Hi All, I have a Cinestar 6, MK electronics, with a 2 axes Cinestar Gimbal and usually using a CX730, i use mostly Xoar 14'x5 with MK 3638 motors, with 2x5000mah lipos. The combo works very well. The only thing is that the motors may become hot after 5 mn flying is it is hot, if there is no wind and if don't move much... Being on the heavy side means it is difficult to carry more weight, like a D600 or 5D, or eventually a brushless (heavier) gimbal. After this long introduction my question is: does someone experienced a powerfull Cinestar6 with , by exemple, the New MK FC(6S), Tmotors 3515 15 , 6S lipos, and 40-60 amps controllers ? Or would you prefer to make an octo. thanks Denis
Hi thanks for the reply That is great fly time, (i don't have that at all actually, 8-9mn) i imagine that you are confortable with the power flying the GH3 ? btw: seen on your site, nice brushless gimbal modification, ;-) is it your idea or a "buyable" stuff ? Cheers Denis
Yeah no problem with GH3 with 12-35, everything was cool, nothing even warm to hands. Hovers around 60-70%. My gimbal is quite heavy side, around 1,5 kg. If wan't to take heavier camera you should either go 3515 650KV and smaller props or 6S batteries. But with 650KV motors and smaller props will eat some flight time, my wild guess it would be around 10min with 14X5 if auw 7kg.
We need to remember that they are just calculations, real life might be different and it just needs to be tested in the air. Ecalc gives me only 8.9 min but in real life i get over 13min until first cell hits 3.4V. And sorry i remembered it wrong, it's actually 56% at the moment but i was planning to go slightly lower pitch props so then it would be around 60-70%.
I checked that yesterday in icalc, it is ok with 15' props in 5s, but much better with 6s. You have 15' props on the hexa ? Standard booms ? My idea was to use 6s and keep it compact, 6s and 14' works well in ecalc Btw icalc is very sensible to props size and pitch, more than it is in reallity for me. Funny you use 0° celcius as basic temperature ...
Yes it is better with 6s with 400KV motors, for me this is backup rig for octo and that workhorse is with 650KV motors and 5S, so all my flight packs are 5S batteries. Also i get surprisingly much better flight times with 15" than 14". Standard booms are fine with 15", i'm afraid you're not going to save much space with going to 14" unless you cut the booms a bit.
You are right, it is ok with 15', i didn't check ... So it looks promising, hovering at 50% with 7kg ... What Escs are you using ?
